Listen first, then read
Every lesson starts with a short story that you hear. The text follows along, sentence by sentence. So your ear gets used to the sounds before you read the words.
Why listen first?
In real life you usually hear Dutch first. At the bakery, on the train or on the phone. If you listen a lot, you understand people faster.
How to get the most out of it
- Listen to the whole story once first.
- Tap a word you do not know.
- Slow down the speed if it is too fast.
- Replay a sentence as often as you like.
